Thanksgiving is my favorite holiday because it reminds us all of the importance of gratitude. They say that a grateful heart is the source of happiness. Without appreciation, there is no joy. (Incidentally, thatās why the Harris campaignās choice of ājoyā as her theme failed to resonate with the public.)
This holiday lacked the presence of my oldest son (see photo). Earlier this year, the graduation of my youngest from high school invited my reflection on how grateful I am to have homeschooled. Sending a child to school forfeits 16,000 hours with them. I thank God for showing me a better path.

The K-12 school system demands 16,000 hours of a childās life. Thatās 16,000 hours of influenceāoften in direct opposition to parental values. Over time, parental authority is questioned, eroded, and ultimately replaced. The result? Children who emulate their teachers more than their parents.
THIS IS NOT NORMAL.
